Do you have business relations with French-speaking countries? Do you want to develop your activities with French-speaking partners? Do you travel regularly on business to a French speaking destination?

The Alliance Française de La Haye is here to help you by developing a tailor-made course to meet your company's specific language requirements.

The Alliance Française de La Haye is specialised in providing French language and culture courses. Our courses are tailored to small, select groups on each level, both at our institute and in-company. We make sure that our (in-)company trainings are entirely geared to the needs and demands of your organisation. We work with you to design programs and schedules that suit your company and the course participants.

The Dutch division of the Alliance Française de La Haye is part of a network comprising 34 Alliances that are, in their turn, part of a global network consisting of 1.040 Alliances Françaises. Since 1997, many companies, Dutch ministries, international and European organisations such as ICC, ICTY, OPCW, EPO and NGO (Oxfam-Novib, Cordaid ...) have put their trust in the Alliance Française de La Haye, benefiting from our expertise in French language teaching.

Reliability

The Alliance Française de La Haye values a good and personal relationship with the student and the client as essential. It is something that we consider as a key condition for a reliable co-operation and the best possible end result.

Long-standing experience and expertise

Our teaching staff has a long experience in providing French courses. All of our instructors are native speakers and qualified to teach French as a foreign language. Besides, the Alliance Française de La Haye is continuously updating the skills and knowledge of its teachers.

Professional approach

The Alliance Française de La Haye makes use of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages to identify the level of the courses. This framework of reference was developed under the auspices of the Council of Europe in order to determine clear standards to be attained at successive stages of learning and for evaluating outcomes in an internationally comparable manner.

An intake interview will determine the starting level and the need of each participant. After this, a tailor-made learning program will be worked out, with a mindful eye especially on the link with the student's practical needs. Assessment of the course takes place on a continuous basis during the course and, if necessary, adjustments to the program will be made accordingly. The course will be concluded with a written and/or oral evaluation, on which basis the student will receive a certificate stating the progress made.

Procedure

  1. Non-committal talk
Why not invite us over to discuss the various possibilities we have in store for you ? A personal talk will allow us to give you an indication of the costs. This can be done over the phone as well when courses for individuals are concerned.
  2. Intakes
Our course co-ordinator will contact the responsible contact person in your organisation to talk through your training needs. We will assess the level of the prospective students and have an intake interview with them. The level assessment test allows us to establish, among others, the starting level of the students individually, the composition of the classes, the number of classes, the learning objectives and the content of the courses.
  3. Quotation
After the intakes we will send you a detailed quotation stating our training advice, the number of classes, the composition of classes, the learning objectives of each course and the costs involved.
  4. Course planning
Courses are prepared using lesson material selected by the teacher and practical material supplied by the students. The dates and times for the course will be planned in consultation with your organisation.
  5. Evaluation of the training
After completion of the course, the students will have a written and/or oral final evaluation. The contact person within your organisation will receive a report and the exit levels according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Certificates will be handed out to the course participants.
