DELF - Diplôme d'Etudes en Langue Française

DALF - Diplôme Approfondi de Langue Française

What are the DELF and DALF exams?

logo-ministere-educnatDELF and DALF are official qualifications awarded by the French Ministry of Education to certify the competency of candidates from outside France in the French language. In the Netherlands, the Alliance Française de La Haye is an official examination centre for DELF and DALF diplomas. The 6 diplomas that make up DELF and DALF are completely independent. This means that you can register for the examination of your choice, according to your level. Candidates might sit for one diploma or more during the same examinations session. They can get their diplomas either in the same country or in different countries without any time limit. DELF and DALF diplomas are valid everywhere and for life.

DELF and DALF are composed of 6 independent diplomas that correspond to the six levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. At each level, 4 skills are evaluated: listening, speaking, reading and writing.
