Louis BLONDIAU<\/h2>\n
Louis BLONDIAU is a Belgian landscape painter. He paints in oil on hardboard and uses the scratch technique. His works are painted in a variation of greys because, according to him, \u2018the elimination of colour can allow viewers to discover the landscape on a deeper level\u2019.<\/p>\n
Many of his paintings depict forests, mountains or oceans, but their real subject is space. These paintings invite viewers to immerse themselves in the spaces they create, transcending the typical dualistic perception of reality where a subject observes an object.<\/p>\n
\u2018I hope my painting will encourage viewers to let go, to surrender to the expanse of space, both the immediacy of what is near and the immensity of what is beyond, and to reconnect. This reconnection between ourselves and the world should bring the viewer a sense of calm and belonging.\u2019<\/p>\n
Paysages, une exp\u00e9rience sensible<\/h2>\n
From 12 December 2024 to 6 January 2025, the Alliance Fran\u00e7aise de La Haye (Emmapark 6, 2595 ET, Den Haag) is hosting an exhibition dedicated to the works of Louis Blondiau, a Belgian artist renowned for his creative universe.<\/p>\n
The exhibition will open with a vernissage on Thursday 12 December 2024, from 6pm to 8pm. This event will be attended by H.E. Mrs Anick Van Calster, Belgium’s Ambassador to the Netherlands, and the artist.<\/p>\n
The vernissage will also be an opportunity to preview the works, followed by a convivial moment over a glass of friendship.<\/p>\n
