In April, the Th\u00e9\u00e2tre de l\u2019Avalanche<\/strong> continues its exceptional trilogy with Agamemnon<\/strong>, the second part of Tiago Rodrigues\u2019 modern adaptation of the great classics of Greek tragedy. Three evenings at the Laaktheater<\/strong> in The Hague to witness the return of the king of kings and the relentless unfolding of the curse of the House of Atreus. \u2694\ufe0f<\/p>\n

After ten years of war in Troy \"Google, Agamemnon<\/strong> returns victorious to his palace. But behind the military glory lies the heavy burden of the crimes committed. At his side, he brings Cassandra<\/strong>, the Trojan princess cursed by Apollo and condemned to foresee the future without ever being believed.<\/p>\n

In the shadows, Queen Clytemnestra<\/strong> prepares her revenge. Alongside the sordid Aegisthus<\/strong>, consumed by ambition and thirst for power, she orchestrates a scheme from which no one will emerge unscathed. Between guilt, the desire for justice, and political violence, Agamemnon<\/strong> explores the consequences of power and the intimate fractures left by war.<\/p>\n

This second part is part of a coherent and captivating trilogy :
Iphigenia<\/strong> opened the cycle in March, Agamemnon<\/strong> forms its tragic core, and Electra<\/strong> will conclude the saga in May. Each play can be seen independently, but together they recount the full curse of the House of Atreus.<\/p>\n
