🌍 Europe Day 2026 at the Alliance Française in The Hague !

On the anniversary of the Schuman Declaration, the Alliance Française in The Hague invites you to celebrate Europe Day on 9 May 2026 during a free event open to all and dedicated to dialogue, reflection and creativity.
🕊️ 2:00 pm – 3:30 pm : Panel discussion
« Europe, a project of peace »
This first part of the afternoon will bring together several speakers to explore the foundations and contemporary issues of European peace.
The discussions will address several key issues :
- The EU’s normative framework
- The place of culture in the European project
- Common climate challenges
- Current economic dynamics
An open discussion to better understand what makes and sometimes questions the European project today.
🎬 3:30 PM – 5 PM: Creativity & Europ’Alliances contest !
During the second part of this afternoon, you will be able to discover all the videos made as part of the Europ’Alliances contest !
A video contest in which several Alliances Françaises and Instituts Français from the F zone (Europe) will present their local vision of Europe and peace through original, inspiring and committed creations !
From May 7 to 9, 2026, you will even have the opportunity to participate in the vote via the social networks of the Alliance Française de La Haye.
🏆 The winning video will then be unveiled at the end of the afternoon, during the closing ceremony of the event.
The day will end with a drink of friendship, a privileged moment to freely exchange between participants, speakers and audience.
✨ An afternoon to reflect, share and celebrate together the Europe of yesterday, today and tomorrow !
