French Knowledge Test (TCF)
The Alliance Française of The Hague is an accredited center for the administration of the Test de Connaissance du Français (TCF), an official exam from the French Ministry of National Education, used notably for immigration, naturalization, study in France, or recognition of French language proficiency.
The tests are conducted in person at our premises and are conducted on a computer, in accordance with the protocol established by France Éducation international.
Regular sessions are offered throughout the year. It is also possible to request a session on demand by contacting us at: examens@aflahaye.nl.
The TCF is available in several versions:

TCF for Integration, Residence and Nationality
Intended for foreign nationals over 16 years old who wish to:
- Apply for French nationality
- Obtain a long-term resident card
- Validate A1 level as part of the OFII civic integration process
Legal framework: In accordance with the decrees and orders of the Ministry of the Interior (2016, 2018, 2019).
TCF Canada
Intended for anyone (regardless of nationality or native language) who wishes to:
- Immigrate permanently to Canada (economic stream)
- Obtain Canadian citizenship through IRCC
TCF QUÉBEC
Version required by the Ministry of Immigration, Francisation and Integration (MIFI) for an official immigration application to Québec.
TCF for the general public
Official French test for personal, academic or professional purposes.
Internationally recognized, it assesses your comprehension and expression skills according to the CEFR.
(CEFR = Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, équivalent du CECR.)

Your results certificate is valid for 2 years from the exam date.
You will receive your digital certificate by email within 1 to 10 business days (approximately 1 to 2 weeks).
