WHO IS IT FOR?   

A programme for children aged 5 to 12 years old from families with French heritage.   

Your child can participate even if they do not speak French.  

OUR HISTORY:  

Thanks to the support of the Institute Français, I also speak French is inspired by the French Heritage Language Program (FHLP), established in the United States in 2005 with the aim of guiding French-speaking immigrants and young Americans of French descent to develop and preserve their linguistic and cultural heritage.

OUR OBJECTIVES:

• To make French an additional advantage for the integration of these children in the Netherlands.  
• Promoting diversity and everyone’s culture.  
• To create a unique and enriching adventure that combines cultural richness with the magic of creativity.  
• Creating a multicultural community in which children feel safe and can thrive.  

WHAT DOES THE PROJECT ENTAIL?

Give your children the chance to explore their creativity through stimulating art workshops, where French and North African languages come together to create unique works of art.  

Possible activities include sculpting, painting and drawing with the aim of having fun in a multicultural context where French is introduced in a playful way.

LOCATION, DURATION, PRICE?

Each workshop takes place over a seven-week period from February to May. At the end of these sessions, families and friends are invited to a presentation of the work.

The 7 workshops are free of charge.

The workshops take place on Wednesday afternoons at the community centre:
